Woodland walks will be back in the spring

we’ve created a wonderful outdoor playscape that inspires curiosity and helps families raise happy, courageous and resilient kids...and you grownups :)

Kids love to discover the secret trails on our woodland walk, the excitement of discovering what's around the next corner. The chance to build dens in the wild and hide in cool places letting imaginations run wild.

The woodland changes colour each season and is alive with little animals and birds. Kids will love a good scavenger hunt or spotting our squirrels and if you're really quiet, you may even spot a shy deer in the distance.

A great place to have fun, learn about nature and a place for grown-ups to feel relaxed too!

And when you’ve finished, pop into The Kitchen Table for scrumptious food, grab a coffee or let the kids play inside or out.

    Term time play

The perfect time for your mini adventurers to enjoy playing in a safe and calm environment where they are free to run wild, let off steam and learn through exploration. Watch out for our special pre-schooler events.

    Outdoor play

We've added even more to our Adventure Playscape, so you can test your skills on our new Mini Assault Course or have a kick about in our football area, or rustle up a muddy feast in the mud kitchens. There's lots of sand and water play to keep the kids busy for ages, or why not enjoy William's Favourite pastime and build a wild den!

    plan your visit

Check out the weather forecast to bring the right gear but not your Sunday best! As there’s loads of climbing, crawling, sand and mud so robust clothes are best. Wellies, coats & gloves for rainy days, or hats, sun cream & trainers for the sunny ones. Plus, spare clothes and a towel for the kids.

We have a designated drop off zone and the disabled parking is located close to the main entrance, providing wheelchair friendly access into the building.

All public facilities within the building are accessible comfortably on foot and by wheelchair with level access throughout and ramped access into and out of all public access doors.

    play policy

Please note that adult supervision is mandatory at William’s Den. We really want you and your family to enjoy the experience together, however there's a minimum supervision ratio of one adult to five children, should some of your party not wish to enjoy The Den and the outdoor adventure.
