What's coming up this February half term?
New for 2024 – SEE DRAGONS' DEN STARS SUBLIME SCIENCE ON STAGE
This is science like you've never seen it before! Join us to see fun science pros Sublime Science bringing learning to life every day between Saturday, February 10 to Sunday, February 18. There are three shows a day at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm, and early booking is recommended to make you get your preferred time slot.
MAKE THINGS MOVE!
Cars on a road, planes in the air, ducks on a stream... what have they got in common? They're all moving thanks to forces! Have a go at making things move with experiments led by our fabulous Play Pioneers. Will you make the best paper aeroplane? Will you create a balloon-powered paper-plate car that beats your friends'? Or will you choose the fastest duck in our indoor stream race? Activities may differ depending on availability but you're in for a moving experience regardless!
FAMILY BUILDING CHALLENGE
Who's got the best ideas in your family when it comes to building something out of some very different materials? Get involved in our daily afternoon challenge and take on other families to put your creativity and engineering to the test.
MAKE A PAPER PLATE CAR
Yep, you read it right - our Play Pioneers can show you how to upcycle a humble paper plate into a high-speed wind-powered vehicle!*
AIM HIGH
Can you make a paper plane that will reach the top of the indoor den or fly high outside? You'll get a chance to try your hand at designing your own air plane
